Lifecycle Analysis (LCA): Product and System LCAs

Product LCA in accordance with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, with sector-specific flexibility and verification-ready results. We conduct product and system LCAs following the established ISO standards 14040 and 14044 and relevant sector or product rules. Each product category and sector has its own methods and data requirements; we adapt our approach accordingly. The goal is a reproducible LCA suitable for claims, policy or technical decisions. You receive a complete LCA report with clear system boundaries, hotspot analysis, uncertainty analysis and recommendations. We deliver clear output suitable for publication and for potential third-party verification. Where desired, we also provide claim texts and supporting documentation.

Process in 5 steps

1. Scope and functional unit
Together we determine the appropriate system boundaries and functional unit, which is decisive for comparability. We align on which life cycle phases and processes are included and why. The choices are documented with reasoning and assumptions.
We collect primary data from production and select secondary LCI datasets based on quality requirements. We document uncertainties and assess dataset suitability for transparency. This makes the LCA reliable and reproducible.
We model the life cycle, run scenarios and conduct sensitivity analyses for variant choices. Hotspots are identified and translated into concrete improvement options. Results are presented in clear tables and visuals for decision-making.
We write a technically substantiated report, including methodological justification and interpretation of results. If desired, we provide claim texts and guidance for communication towards clients and regulators. The report is ready for public or internal distribution.
We guide any third-party verification or conduct an internal review with external expertise. Based on the LCA, we translate recommendations into product development and value chain actions. This makes LCA insights directly applicable for reduction and commercial opportunities.
